Biological Deadline

November 2nd, 2010

I’ve finished writing and recording my third album “Biological Deadline”! I’ve met my own biological deadline on wrapping this album up and now its time to start mixing.

Stay tuned for some new videos, snippets from the album and other bizarre sonic vignettes!

free compilation, Robohustlin!

September 23rd, 2010

and I’ve got a track on it! check it out, FOR FREE!

subVariant’s new compilation Robohustlin is coming out Friday September 24th!

from the subVariant site-

Robohustlin, is a curated collection of melodic IDM, ambient and glitch tracks from Chicago and beyond. Chaircrusher’s “Crow Beat” and Milipede’s “30,000″ take a somewhat dark, harder approach, while tracks like Diarmo’s “Details” and Matt Wolfe’s “4:09am” hover somewhere between hopefulness and melancholy, held together with intricate rhythmic programming. All thirteen tracks were chosen from an open call for songs in July-August of 2010, and represent the highest quality and most discernable sonic dedication that fit with the general theme that organically emerged over the course of weeding through all the submissions.
In keeping with subVariant’s tongue-in-cheek, music-as-consumer-product design aesthetic (see Subvaritrax, Exception AM), Robohustlin’s digital cover lists the individual artists as separate “cures” in a packaging style based on the popular cough & cold medication, Robitussin.

Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 9pm CST
Robohustlin with be premiered in a live DJ set by Liz Revision on Ustream on at (embedded below).

Friday, September 24, 2010 at 10am CST

Lou Reed’s New York Shuffle

September 23rd, 2010

Apparently LOU REED and Hal Wilner played my tune “Dangerous” from my last album on their SiriusXM radio show “NY Shuffle” back in May! Yeah! What an amazing playlist and I’m happy to be included…just knowing that they had heard of me was awesome!

Mick Karn Fundraiser Compilation

September 23rd, 2010

important and sad news- I also have a track on a fundraiser compilation for musician/artist/Japan founder Mick Karn. As I previously mentioned, Mick has advanced stage cancer and the council has put together an amazing compilation to help Mick’s family. It is available to purchase on iTunes, Amazon and all the major digital sites. Click here to read more. I can’t speak highly enough of Mick and he is without a doubt my inspiration for picking up a bass to begin with.

September 23rd, 2010

I will be playing some laptops with Ben Perowsky’s Moodswing Orchestra featuring TK Wonder, this Saturday night at 11:30PM at Nublu in New York City. Its the hottest venue in New York, Mr. Perowsky’s riddims are to be rivaled, and TK’s lyrical flow will leave even the neasayers breathless. You may remember that they were kind enough to invite me to play GiantStep!s Central Park Summerstage showcase with them earlier in the summer…if you missed that then come check this out!

mick karn: an appeal for help for a friend

June 5th, 2010

JAPAN, Dalis Car, solo bassist and sculptor Mick Karn has been diagnosed with advanced stages of cancer. His financial resources in Cyprus are very, very slender….. at best.. Donations are being accepted no matter how small on behalf of Mick and his family and you can leave him a message on his site as well. If you aren’t familiar with his music or sculpture check out the site. This fretless legend is the reason I picked up a 4 string to begin with.
